First licensed in Berrien Springs, Michigan in 1992 with No Code Tech license.  Upgraded to General in 2003 just before the 5 WPM code requirement went away.  Then went on to Extra a few months later.  I kept my callsign because I got used to it and didn't have to change it any more.  Unless a really good 1x2 or 2x1 comes up I just can't live without, I'll just keep N8VRX.

Currently residing in Lincoln, NE with my wife and daughter.  Along with amature radio I enjoying photographing birds, riding my motorcycle, and spending time with my family and dog Ruby.

I try to upload my logs to as many different places as I can.  LoTW, eQSL, HRDLog, QRZ.com, and even ClubLog.  I know now everyone uses all, but someone uses one of them.  I've never made paper QSL cards and probably never will, so don't expect to get one.  If you send one, I thank you, and it may encourage me to do the same some day.

For HF I am currently using a Yaesu FT-897 with an 80-10M EFHW fed vertically up into my silver maple from the end of my house.  I also use a LDG Z-11 Pro tuner, a SignaLink USB interface, and a RIGTalk controller.  For local contacts I use my Yaesu FT-8800 and Dualband Workman 2M/440 antenna at 20ft on the side of the house.
