VU3WAW

I'm Ravi Chandran, S., a shortwave listener since 1978. In March 2021, I obtained my Amateur Radio Station Operator Restricted Licence and received the callsign VU3WAW in April 2021. I'm based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

I've been a Linux user since 1992 and rely on Kubuntu for my radio related activities. 

In addition to my radio activities, I have a diverse range of hobbies. These include gardening, tending to cacti, photography, maintaining a planted aquarium, engaging in Jeeps and 4x4 off-roading, and collecting stamps.

Equipment:

I am using Icom ic-7300 for HF, with an Inverted V antenna running South to North. I am active on 7.000 to 7.200 MHz from 00:30 UTC to 03:00 UTC and again from 12:00 to 15:00 UTC.

Icom IC-2730A for VHF and UHF, with Diamond X520 antenna.

Cqrlog, uploads to HamQTH, ClubLog & HRDLog.

QSL:

~ eQSL & Lotw - QSO data is uploaded to eQSL & ARRL Lotw, at least once a week.

~ QSL card - I'd be thrilled to receive your QSL card. You may send a QSL card Via Bureau & Direct. 

Via Bureau ~ Upon receiving your card via ARSI Bureau, I'll promptly send my card back through the Bureau.

Direct ~ If you send your card directly, I will reciprocate & send my card directly via airmail & I'll cover the postal charges. Please DO NOT SEND  IRC or currencies. However, I would appreciate it if you send about 25 or more used postage stamps. 

~ QSL card Status - As on April 21, 2024, all QSL cards received via bureau and direct have been reciprocated.
