I'm a former Portuguese Navy Communications Radio Operator.
Since a young age, I enjoyed CB radio, and got my first Amateur Radio license back in 2007, callsign CT2JQC (B Class), then after a short period of time upgraded my license to CT1JQC (made CW exam). It has been a long time out of the air, but now I plan to return to contacts, to participate in contests, with proper logging and QSLing.
I enjoy HF for DX (all modes, love CW) and V/U for Voice and ISS x-band repeater chasing.
I'm trackable in V/UHF via APRSdroid (CT1JQC-9).
Current equipment:
HF + 6 meters - Yaesu FTDX-3000D
HF + 6 meters antenna - OUT-250B D (working on deploying a dipole)
Rx only wideband whip antenna 30kHz-2000MHz - AOR SA7000
V/UHF - Yaesu FT 8800 (mobile)
V/UHF antenna - M-150-GSA (mobile)
Straight Key Century Club (SKCC) #20331
Núcleo de Radioamadores da Armada #PN034
I will send a direct QSL if one is received, no IRCs or € $ £ necessary.
SWL QSL cards most welcome and will be replied!
Hope to spot you on the air.
