Hello my name is Hamish born in Scotland 1948 to a Polish father and Scottish mother.
Thank you for visiting my page. If you wish to QSL please do so via the bureau, direct or eQSL, I'm also on LoTW and Clublog.
My original call sign was G1OUJ and have uploaded my old log book into QRZ for both my original call and my present call sign which dates back to 1985. 73's Hamish
First Licensed in the 1985 as G1OUJ then in late 1986 gained my 'A' class license. I did not apply to get my 'A' call sign straight away as I wanted 'G0HLT', which was my initials, but after waiting quite some time for this call to come around I decided I could not wait any longer so took the next available one in January 87 getting G0GLG. Spent the first half of my life in HM Forces (both Army then RAF). After leaving the RAF I worked for British Telecom as an engineer becoming a Technical Officer before retiring in 2013.
I am a member of RAFARS, member number 2508.
My WAB square is SP62

My equipment:
FT991A, FTdx3000, IC-705
As I only have a small garden I use an endfed wire 88.5' with 9:1 for HF and a small 5 element/8 element dual band beam for 2m/70cm, also HB9 2 element for 4m on a wind up mast.
Yet another passion is photography.
