Hello to all! Greetings from South Central Kentucky! I have been licensed Amateur since June of 1992 and been going strong ever since and have recently changed my call sign from KD4QHG to KC4V, and now K4XJ. So if you have had contact with me with my old call sign and still need confirmation of a QSO that we had I still have QSL cards with my old call sign. I'm not originally from Kentucky, but was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and grew up in Palm Beach Gardens Florida. Been here in Kentucky since 1992 and don't plan on going anywhere else....I love the hills and country living. My equipment is a Kenwood TS-2000 with a Heil Gold Elite microphone and boom set with a Heil FS-3 footswitch. I haven't owned an amplifier since 1997 and have made plenty of contacts on every band, but this don't mean I wont ever get another amp but maybe in the future. And also a TUP-9 D-104 that I completely rebuilt. I have 3 very simple antennas, 1 is a Antron99 which I have cut off 11 inches off the top. S.W.R. 1.05 to 1. I can also use this from 12 to 20 meters with great results. I built a 40 meter dipole with a Alpha Delta C center insulator and from 7.125 to 7.300 it has an S.W.R. of 1.1. Plus a 80 meter double bazooka up about at 40 feet. Im in the process of getting my A4S tri-bander up later on and i'm going to get the 40 meter add-on kit before I do put it up in the air. Im not into contest, just simple DXing and some rag chewing. I haven't done CW since I got my license, and its not my personal choice of mode. My keys were all old and never bought a new one, maybe sometime in the future. QSL Information: You must send me a S.A.S.E. if you want a QSL sent back to you. Stations outside of the U.S.A. you must send 1 U.S. dollar...No exceptions!...If these request are made, then I WILL QSL to you 100%.
